Being new to the Quincy area (relocated from Colorado) and knowing the challenges our teenager would face of making new friends and finding people to trust we were truly blessed to have come across this foundation on the internet.  In the 2 weeks of activities and speakers my daughter has expressed she is happy to have made friends @ BO that will be attending her same school. She now feels much more at ease and we find her to be positive with less negativity (not as anxious) about starting a new school and not knowing anyone which, in and of itself can be quite daunting.  Each day being in the program was filled with fun, laughter and music! Really great mentors who showed respect and leadership to the kids. So, here it goes….” “In the summer of 2016, my girls and I were going through an incredibly, incredibly difficult time. (Most of this summer is a blur- I have no memory of it) I didn’t know how to deal with what was happening to my family, which resulted in both of my girls (and I) being lost and incredibly depressed. We were not prepared to handle what fate dealt us and was in a constant state of confusion topped with the inability to cope. It was the worst time of my life (and most likely theirs).”
